Visiting Foxglove Oval during winter

1 Jul 2020 by Matt Gleeson

As winter rolls on and winter sports begin to start up here in NSW, there are a number of sports governing body guidelines that are worth knowing about should you visit an oval like Foxglove whilst it is in use. Almost all sporting bodies have been instructed to space out their folks across the available areas of each ground in the interests of social distancing. Additionally the hiring of the grounds by the council is a very exclusive and dedicated hire to allow the entire space to be dedicated to the hirer. So whilst the rules are complicated and evolving, I wanted to give all NDLAC athletes and friends a heads up that it is a tricky time for sports and you might find it better to avoid use of the ground (even if you feel like you are in the corner) rather than being asked to shift by anxious (understandably) winter sports clubs.

The success of community sport over winter will set the foundation for our return in the summer, so I appreciate all your help with this.
