Notices posted at Foxglove Oval

Some of you might have noticed a few new information sheets posted around Foxglove’s perimeter this week. This relates to the elevated Methane recordings previously seen at foxglove on account of it once being a waste dump. The findings are not new news, but the method of keeping the public aware of this has evolved somewhat.

Today I met representatives of council and the EPA are Foxglove. They reassured me there is no danger posed by the methane in the way we currently use the oval. However as the Higher levels of recording have been in the clubhouse, I do believe we should open all doors nice and wide to let fresh air in just as an extra precaution – albeit the folks I spoke to today seemed to have little concern that the reading levels would pose any danger. So it’s pretty much business as usual for us at Foxglove’s for the next two weeks.

Note that I also took the opportunity to have council observe the stellar condition of the oval at the end of summer. Requesting that they observe the winter obliteration caused by soccer overuse😉.

Yours in athletics
Matt
